Judge Paul Ferguson Scholarship

 

The Judge Paul Ferguson Scholarship was established in June 1983, by the Board of Directors to honor Judge Ferguson for his tireless work on our behalf.  This scholarship is used to allow a TACA member to attend an ICM program.  Recipients of this award include:

Jack H. Dillard Scholarship

 

Established by the Board of Directors on June 28, 1983, the Jack H. Dillard Scholarship began with a $500 initial contribution.  This scholarship also allows the recipient to attend an ICM program of his/her choice.  Recipients are:

Chief Justice John Hill Scholarship

 

The third scholarship to be established, the Chief Justice John Hill Scholarship was available in the amount of tuition for the Phase II, four week seminar of the ICM.  This scholarship was established on January 24, 1985 by the Board of Directors.  Recipients are as follows:

Chief Justice Scholarship

 

The Chief Justice Scholarship is funded by the Texas Center for the Judiciary and can be used for funding the tuition costs required to attend the ICM Phase II program.  Recipients are as follows:

Judge Larry J. Gist Scholarship

 

The Judge Larry J. Gist Scholarship, established in 1994, is an award of $1,500.00, to be used solely for the purpose of attending Phase Three and Phase Four of the Court Executive Development Program. The scholarship is named in honor of Judge Gist for his many hours of contribution to TACA.

Founders Scholarships

 

Three scholarships in honor of founding members Martin Allen, Bob Wessels and longtime TACA supporter Trisha Hall were established in 1996 to commemorate TACA’s 20th anniversary. Founders Scholarships shall be used to attend the TACA Annual Education Conference. Recipients are as follows:

Goodwill Scholarships

 

In 2006, due to the efforts of our Scholarship Committee, in particular Gracie Herrera, and their raffle at the Annual Conference for participants, the Goodwill Scholarships were created.  The scholarships were in the amount of $1000 and could be used to fund the cost to attend the TACA Annual Conference.  These scholarships were awarded if funds were available.
